Hiatus

The last post written on this site was published on February 1, 2008.

On February 4, the world changed. I was woken from my sleep in Sydney by a phonecall from Dublin that turned everything on its head and changed my life.

Dad died, aged just 54, from a heart attack that felled him in the full of life. For the second time in four years, I flew around the world to bury a parent.

Since then, things have been busy, but with the support of friend and loved ones, everything’s moving along. Except this blog.

I’m back writing, but only for pay - I don’t, unfortunately, have time in my extra-curricular schedule for much in the way of blogging. So this is going on the shelf for now. And as I’m back in Ireland, I’m technically an ex-exPaddie.  So perhaps when I hit the road again, I’ll hit the blog again.
